WHAT IS VSL#3?

VSL#3 is a highly concentrated poly-biotic food supplement product consisting of the following 8 strains of live-freeze dried lactic acid bacteria:

• Streptococcus thermophilus BT01
• Bifidobacterium breve BB02
• Bifidobacterium longum* BL03
• Bifidobacterium infantis** BI04
• Lactobacillus acidophilus BA05
• Lactobacillus plantarum BP06
• Lactobacillus paracasei BP07
• Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus*** BD08

PRODUCT USE:
To see optimal results, it is recommended to take VSL#3 for a minimum of 30 days. The recommended daily dose depends upon the condition being treated. For symptoms such as bloating or flatulence, 1 to 2 sachets per day should be sufficient. For more troublesome conditions, it is recommended to take 1 to 4 sachets per day initially. To use, one should dissolve contents of the sachet in water, yogurt or any other cold, non-carbonated drink or food and consume immediately. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. VSL#3 is a food supplement and should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

STORAGE:
Keep refrigerated (+2-8°C). VSL#3 contains live bacteria which are sensitive to heat, it is therefore recommended to keep the product refrigerated and away from light at all times. However it may be stored at room temperature (maximum +25°C) for up to one week. Avoid high temperatures.

CAUTIONS:
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should talk with their doctor or other healthcare professional before taking this or any other food supplement. Vivomixx is believed to be compatible with all types of drugs. If you take it with antibiotics, make sure to take it far apart from them.

When you start taking Vivomixx , you may experience bloating while your digestive tract adjusts to the additional bacteria in Vivomixx. If you experience bloating, you may reduce your daily intake to allow for this adjustment.

• celery
• mustard
• sesame
• lupin and sulphur dioxide at levels above 10mg/kg, or 10mg/litre, expressed as SO2.

VSL#3 contains no animal products.
